Tim Simon - Chairman and CEO

Tim SimonTim has been described as a “serial entrepreneur”, having founded three software firms servicing the financial sector. In 1975, he founded his first company and in 1981 he floated it on the LSE as Quotient plc. By the time he sold the company 10 years later for £27.2m to ACT Group, Quotient plc had 8 international offices and over 500 institutions as clients, many of them the world’s largest banks and securities houses. Some of its market leading products are still used today as the core part of financial institutions’ business systems. He floated his second business, Mondas (now Corero), on the Alternative Investment Market (AIM) in 1996. Madiston is his third company, with arguably the greatest potential. Tim combines his skills in management with designing, building and marketing software applications and his passion for financial sector markets.

Sally Johnson - Executive Director and Company Secretary

sallyWith a background in marketing, finance and administration, Sally worked with many IT and small business as a consultant. She joined Tim at his second business, Mondas, when it was a sole trader business, becoming Company Secretary and responsible for marketing. In that time, Sally was involved in the AIM flotation, two acquisitions and fundraising. She has taken products from launch to market leading positions, established quality procedures and helped small businesses grow.

Mark Crocker - Executive Director

Mark CrockerMark is an experienced General Manager in the software industry with a proven track record in opening offices, expanding internationally, turning around underperforming business units, raising investment capital, leading businesses through significant revenue growth/profitability, mergers/acquisitions and shareholder exits.

Professor Brian Scott-Quinn - Non-executive Director

Professor Brian Scott-QuinnBrian is Chair of the International Capital Markets Association (ICMA) Centre – the business school for financial markets which he founded at the University of Reading in 1991. In 2014, he was a founding NED, and Chair of the Audit Committee of a challenger bank, Civilised Bank (SME lending) now called Allica Bank and was on the board until 2018. He is a board member of Henley Business Angels Ltd, a network of business leaders, entrepreneurs and investors. It is owned by the University of Reading and sponsored by Barclays and PwC. He is financing advisor to Penultimate Energy UK which will work with potential investors and local authorities to finance the new generation of ultra-safe small modular reactors (SMRs). He is a member of an EU High Level Group on Financing the Sustainable Industrial Transition.
